Longmans Landscaping is soon to expand its operations by creating its own nursery to supply their landscaping needs. It already has an irrigation company to complement the many different aspects of landscaping and design that it offers such as natural rock walls, paving, water features, seasonal maintenance and pruning. We also work with experienced and trusted sub-contractors.

Longmans Landscaping has recently celebrated its 10th anniversary and feels proud of its humble beginnings when Steven first set out on a long held dream. It now consists of about 40 permanent staff and 10 contract workers being a significant employer to the industry. All our staff receive a performance based incentive and thus understand the importance of doing the job correctly and carefully.

Steven   Steven completed his National Diploma in Horticulture at Cape Technikon in 1999. Pursing his dream of running his own business, he started Longmans Landscaping and began to create gardens throughout the Peninsula. After 7 years, and with only a handful of loyal workers, the Company had grown to a point where Steven required assistance with the various landscaping projects. He approached Colin McGaw, with whom he had studied with, to join him as a partner in the business. Steven concentrates on the Peninsula and Far South areas of the Southern Suburbs.

Colin   Colin also completed his National Diploma in Horticulture in 1999 at the Cape Technikon. He returned to Zimbabwe to farm on the family commercial enterprise with his brothers. Then having been dispossessed of his farm in Zimbabwe, Colin moved to Botswana where he was successfully managing a market garden operation, including hydroponic tomatoes and was also doing a significant amount of commercial landscaping. He then joined Steven in partnership at Longmans Landscaping in 2006 and works mainly in the Southern Suburbs.
